"Right from the Start: Engaging Story Beginnings"
Norma Livo, a pioneer in storytelling education, says that a storyteller brings the audience “over” into story time and learns to trust the power of the ritual. In this workshop participants examine that power by engaging listeners before speaking, and by enhancing first lines. We’ll practice “bringing the audience over” right from the start. If you like, bring a story opening (just the first few lines) that you would like to enhance or embellish.
