"Katha-Kathakar - what, how & why of this storytelling style"

Add "Katha" to your storytelling repertoire. Become a Kathakaar! What is this Indian style of storytelling? The word "Katha" comes from the Sanskrit root word “Kath," which means "to tell." The Katha is both for entertainment and for education as a one-man show incorporating songs, riddles and more into his story. The audience participates and is expected to know the story beforehand. What if you don't know the story yet? Vinita will guide you! How can you honor it if you are within or outside this culture? What are the secular versus the sacred stories? Join this workshop and find out!
